YES, AND!

Professionally, Nas is an immigration attorney, telling the stories of immigrants to the United States government to help them win asylum, permanent residency, or citizenship.  The work is very rewarding, and the fight is worth the effort.

Artistically, Nas’ storytelling takes many forms.  From keeping alive classic mythological tales as Homer for his local Greek Festival, to singing the great American songbook in barbershop harmony, to writing and directing his first ever short film, expressing creativity through differing media comes naturally.

However, the world of creative fiction tantalizes his brain more than any other, especially Lovecraftian prose.  He has loved horror since he can remember, always perusing the most gruesome movie covers in Blockbuster and Hollywood Video in the before-times. He loves the weird, the terrifying, the unusual and the mysterious, themes which form the basis of his writing.

Together with his remarkable wife, Cheyenne, he created Dapper Gods as an outlet to promote their combined artistic endeavors.  These currently include the award-winning short film, The Arrival, along with Nas’ forthcoming debut novel, The Kiss of Mata Hari. He is a proud member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity, and graduated from U.C. Berkeley.  He lives in Temecula, California with his wife.  They’re currently reading The Kiss of Mata Hari to their baby boy, set to debut on Valentine's Day 2025.
